ENGINE CONTROL MODULE BRACKET REMOVAL

Fuel is combustible and an irritant. Skin and eye protection is required. Ensure work area
is well ventilated.
Do not bend high pressure fuel line to gain access for ECM mounting bracket removal.
The fuel system operates under extremely high pressure. Bending, loosening, or
retightening high pressure fuel lines renders them weaker and prone to failure. Replace
any high pressure fuel line that has been bent, loosened, and/or retightened. Failure to
follow this warning may result in serious injury or death to personnel.
Keep away from open flame and other ignition sources. Failure to follow this warning may
cause injury or death to personnel.
N OT E
Avoid placing strain on fuel injection lines when fuel rail is not supported by bracket.
Tag and mark wires and lines to aid installation.
1. Remove three bolts (Figure 2, Item 3) from fuel rail (Figure 2, Item 2).
2. Loosen two bolts (Figure 2, Item 4) from ECM mounting bracket (Figure 2, Item 1).
