REAR ENGINE MOUNT REMOVAL

WARN I N G
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure any lifting device used is in good condition and of
suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure to
follow this warning may cause injury or death to personnel.
N OT E
Engine weighs approximately 1,715 lb (778 kg).
Steps 1 through 5 remove one rear engine mount. Repeat steps to remove second rear
engine mount.
1. Install lifting device on engine (Figure 3, Item 5).
2. Remove bolt (Figure 3, Item 2), two washers (Figure 3, Items 3 and 1), and mount (Figure 3, Item 9) from
bracket (Figure 3, Item 8) .
3. Using lifting device and assistance, raise engine (Figure 3, Item 5) slightly.
4. Remove four bolts (Figure 3, Item 7), washers (Figure 3, Item 6), and bracket (Figure 3, Item 8) from housing
(Figure 3, Item 4).
