10. Remove supports and lower machine on tracks (Figure 8, Item 1).
11. Remove supports and lower blade (Figure 8, Item 2) on machine.

12. Move machine forward. Allow the machine to stop without use of brakes.
13. Install string (Figure 9, Item 1) on track (Figure 9, Item 3) near sprocket segment (Figure 9, Item 4).
14. Install other end of string (Figure 9, Item 1) on track (Figure 9, Item 3) near front idler (Figure 9, Item 2). String
should be tight.
15. Measure from track shoe tip (Figure 9, Item 3) to string (Figure 9, Item 1) at lowest point. Correct adjustment is
4.5 in. (115 mm).
