Test Step 2: Isolate Problem
with Engine Control Wiring Har-
ness.
1. Turn ignition switch to OFF
position (TM 5-2410-240-10).
2. Disconnect E-C13 (WP 0018,
Figure 112) harness connector
from G-C1 (WP 0018, Figure
173) at valve cover base.
3. Install jumper wire at E-C13
(WP 0018, Figure 112) har-
ness connector terminal 3 and
terminal 4.
4. Turn ignition switch to ON
position (TM 5-2410-240-10).
N OT E
Wait at least 30 seconds in order for diagnostic codes to become
active.
5. Start engine or attempt to start
engine (TM 5-2410-240-10).
6. At MSD, check that diagnostic
0003-06 Becomes Active - ECM
code 0003-06 is active
and engine control wiring harness
are OK, proceed to Test Step 3.
0003-05 Remains Active - Pro-
ceed to step 7.
7. Turn ignition and battery dis-
connect switch to OFF posi-
tion (TM 5-2410-240-10).
8. Leave jumper wire at E-C13
(WP 0018, Figure 112) har-
ness connector between ter-
minal 3 and terminal 4 in
place.
9. Disconnect ECM harness con-
nector E-C1 (WP 0018,
Figure 102) from engine ECM
