Always inspect harness connectors that are involved in the
circuit. Poor connections can often be the cause of an electrical
circuit problem. Verify connections in circuit are clean and
secure, and connections are in good condition. If a problem with
a connection is found, correct problem and verify diagnostic code
is active before performing this procedure.
Tag wiring harnesses to aid installation.
1. Connect MSD (WP 0016).
Select engine ECM C6.6 D6K.
2. Start engine or attempt to start
engine (TM 5-2410-240-10).
3. At MSD, check if all three
0001-05, 0002-05, and 0003-05
diagnostic codes: 0001-05,
Diagnostic Codes are Active -
0002-05, and 0003-05 are
Replace engine ECM (WP 0049).

Verify proper operation of machine

4. At MSD, check if all three

1. Turn ignition switch to OFF
position (TM 5-2410-240-10).
2. Disconnect E-C14 (WP 0018,
Figure 113) harness connector
from F-C1 (WP 0018, Figure
146) at valve cover base.
3. Install jumper wire at E-C14
(WP 0018, Figure 113) har-
ness connector terminal 1 and
terminal 2.
4. Turn ignition switch to ON
position (TM 5-2410-240-10).
