Hydraulic oil is very slippery. Immediately wipe up any spills. Failure to follow this warning
may result in injury to personnel.
N OT E
This procedure covers removal of drive motor from left side of machine. Follow the same
procedure when removing drive motor from right side of machine.
Steps 1 through 7 apply to left drive motor only.
Tag and mark electrical connectors to aid installation.
Note position of tiedown straps to aid installation.
Cap or plug all hydraulic fittings.
1. Remove tiedown strap (Figure 1, Item 5) from harness (Figure 1, Item 6) and sensor (Figure 1, Item 1). Discard
tiedown strap.
2. Disconnect harness (Figure 1, Item 6) from sensor (Figure 1, Item 1). Position harness aside.
3. Remove sensor (Figure 1, Item 1) from fitting (Figure 1, Item 4).
4. Remove O-ring (Figure 1, Item 2) from sensor (Figure 1, Item 1). Discard O-ring.
N OT E
Tag, mark, and note routing of hoses to aid installation.
Cap or plug all hydraulic hoses and fittings.
5. Loosen nut (Figure 1, Item 9) and disconnect hose (Figure 1, Item 7) from fitting (Figure 1, Item 4).
6. Remove fitting (Figure 1, Item 4) from drive motor (Figure 1, Item 8).
7. Remove two O-rings (Figure 1, Item 3) from fitting (Figure 1, Item 4). Discard O-rings.
