Note location of tiedown strap, and tag and mark electrical connectors to aid installation.
5. Remove tiedown strap (Figure 3, Item 7) from engine harness (Figure 3, Item 2) and from starter connector
(Figure 3, Item 6). Discard tiedown strap.
6. Disconnect engine harness (Figure 3, Item 2) from starter connector (Figure 3, Item 6). Position engine
harness aside.
7. Remove three nuts (Figure 3, Item 4) from studs (Figure 3, Item 5).
8. Remove starter (Figure 3, Item 1) from housing (Figure 3, Item 3).
9. Remove three studs (Figure 3, Item 5) from housing (Figure 3, Item 3).
